This beautiful naturally Vanilla colored wood is from the English Fiddleback Sycamore. This large tree is related to the Maple species and grows in much of Europe. These cuffs are made from hand made selected English Fiddleback Sycamore veneer with a consistent silky "figure" that runs perpendicular to the grain. They are hand bent around a size form then finely sanded. A special organic liquid treatment is used to tint the natural tannic acid inherent in the wood and cause a gray tone. They are then protected with a water-based finish to maintain a desaturated aged gray tone. They have a bit of protection from the elements, however as with most wood products exposure to water is not advised. Clean with damp rag, never use chemicals.

Claro Walnut is a unique species of Walnut that originally gained it's grain beauty from American Walnut being planted in Paris soil. This special Walnut is now mainly harvested from California. These cuffs are made to order from hand selected Claro Walnut. They are hand bent around a size form. They are then finely sanded and protected with a rubbed finish. This beautiful version of Ebony is called Macassar Ebony. Ebony grows mainly in India as well as the East Indies. It is one of the oldest wood species known to man with carvings from Ebony having been found in Egyptian tombs. They have a wonderful dense grain and juxtaposition between the black veins and the rich fiery red. Each piece is hand selected. They are then hand bent around a size form then finely sanded and protected with a rubbed finish for a natural wood feel.
